What this policy covers

It covers the vecodesk.com website, including the English version under /en. The software itself (app.vecodesk.com) is governed by the agreements with each customer: there we process personal data on our customers’ behalf, under a data processing agreement.

Visiting the website

The site is hosted with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt; our contracting party is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg. When you open a page, AWS processes the connection data without which no page could arrive: your IP address, the time, the file requested and the browser identifier. The delivery network writes this connection data to an access log that is deleted automatically after seven days at the latest; before that, it becomes the anonymous figures described in the traffic measurement section. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Delivery runs over the worldwide AWS network, which can involve locations outside the EU. The data processing agreement with AWS, including the Standard Contractual Clauses, covers that case.

Cookies, fonts, analytics

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — the analytics included. That is why you will not find a consent banner here.

We measure traffic ourselves from these access logs — with no script in the browser and no analytics provider. From your IP address and browser identifier an identifier is derived that changes daily; the IP address itself is discarded before anything is stored, and of the location at most the city remains. It tells us which pages are read and where visitors come from — no usage profiles spanning several days are built. The anonymous statistics live on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and are deleted after 13 months. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in traffic measurement without personal reference (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Fonts are served from our own server. Opening a page creates no connection to Google Fonts.

Demo request

When you submit the form on /demo, we process what you enter there: first and last name, company, email address, number of machines, software in use, team size, how you heard about us and your message, if you write one. We use it to answer your request and arrange an appointment. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR — steps taken at your request.

You will not receive marketing emails from us. For a newsletter or campaigns we would ask for separate consent first.

We store requests with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt.

To protect against spam, Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) checks that a person is submitting the form. For this, Cloudflare receives your IP address and technical characteristics of your browser; the transfer to the US relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

If your request does not lead to working together, we delete it no later than the end of the following year. Otherwise the statutory retention periods apply.

Contact form

When you submit the form on /kontakt, we process your first and last name, email address and your message in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. Recipients, storage location and deletion periods are the same as for a demo request.

Contacting us by email

If you write to hallo@vecodesk.com, we process your message in order to answer it (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). The mailbox runs on Google (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin); from there we store the request with Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt. Whether a new request is spam or a support question is assessed by an AI model that we use via OpenRouter, Inc. (USA); your message is processed only in the EU for this and is not stored. The same deletion periods apply as for a demo request.
