Import your data, wherever it sits
An Excel list on the network drive, an export on the FTP server, a spreadsheet in Google Drive: Vecodesk collects them there — once or on a schedule, columns mapped by hand or detected by AI.
- Cloud storage, FTP and file upload
- Once or on a schedule
- Run history per import
What you get
What the import changes day to day
You don't export specially for us
Your data stays where it is: in Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or on the FTP server.
Mapping takes minutes, not days
The AI reads your file and suggests which column is customer number, site or serial number. You check and confirm — or map by hand.
The second import is not a fresh start
Known rows are updated, not created a second time. Every run shows what was created, updated and skipped.
How an import runs
Connect the source, settle the columns, let it run
The first import is set up before the demo is over.
- 1
Connect the source
You connect the storage once and name the folder the exports land in. Alternatively you upload a CSV or Excel file directly.
- 2
Settle the columns — by hand or by suggestion
Detection: AI add-onVecodesk shows your file as it arrives and suggests a target field for every column. At the next export of the same structure nobody is asked again.
- The AI suggests, a person approves
- The mapping is stored and can be changed at any time
- AI column detection is part of the AI add-on
- 3
Import once or set a cadence
For the initial load one run is enough. For ongoing data you set a schedule and trigger a run by hand whenever you want.
In detail
What the data import brings
Cloud storage as a source
Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox: connect once, name the folder.
FTP, SFTP and file upload
Your system drops the export or you drag the spreadsheet in. Both lead to the same run.
Structure detected, not explained
The AI reads the file and suggests the mapping. It only sticks once a person confirms it.
Run history per import
Created, updated, skipped with a reason — as with the 4Vending connection.
FAQ
Questions about the data import
Which sources can Vecodesk import from?
From cloud storage such as Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox, over FTP and SFTP, and from CSV or Excel files you upload directly.
How does Vecodesk know what each column means?
The AI suggests a target field for every column; you confirm or correct. AI detection is part of the AI add-on, manual mapping is included in every plan.
Will the second import duplicate everything?
No. Known rows are matched and updated rather than created again. After every run you see: created, updated, skipped — skips with a reason.
Do we need 4Vending or Televend for this?
No. The data import is there for operations running neither. Anyone using one of them goes through the direct connection.

Let's bring your existing data into Vecodesk.
In the demo we look at one of your files and map the columns together.
